Harbour Eiland van Maurik is located in the heart of the Betuwe, in the middle of the so-called Rivierenland. As the name Rivierenland suggests, Eiland van Maurik is surrounded by water and nature! Harbour Eiland van Maurik is located in a floodplain of the Nederrijn, making many cozy places within a jiffy to reach.
The Nederrijn provides a lot of boating and viewing pleasure.
Besides the beautiful sailing routes on the Nederrijn, there is more than enough to experience! The landscape is very varied because it is between the flat Betuwe and the Utrechte Heuvelrug. Between the many beaches, groynes and green landscapes you will fall from one surprise to the next.
In the vicinity of Maurik there are numerous forests on hills. What makes the area even more unique are the two weirs that can be found here at Driel and Amerongen. You can imagine yourself in a completely different world!
The Nederrijn almost always has to deal with a lovely current, which makes sailing very pleasant. The transition from the Nederrijn to Lek is at the branch of the Kromme Rijn, directly west of Wijk bij Duurstede.
